Learn to surf on the sandy beaches of the sunny Algarve in a friendly environment with certified instructors while staying at our fun, safe and comfortable hostel in Sagres.
Surf & STAY - from 490€
Wake up near the beach, surf daily with certified instructors, and enjoy the relaxed Algarve lifestyle. This all-in surf week includes surf lessons, accommodation and awesome home-baked breakfasts, packed lunches for the beach – perfect for beginners and intermediates ready to progress, meet new people and soak up the surf life.

Surf, sleep, repeat – just minutes from the beach.
Choose between a mixed shared dorm, a girls only shared dorm or a private room and enjoy a relaxed, social atmosphere.
Our hostel crew regularly organises community dinners like our famous Friday Night BBQs, Wednesday night group dinners or a great night of bar hopping in town – so it’s easy to connect with fellow surfers.
Structured lessons for beginners & intermediates – with max. good vibes.
We keep our groups small and our coaching personal (Student to instructor ratio: 8)
Lessons are tailored to your level, with the right mix of theory and water time. You’ll surf where the conditions are best – usually Mareta or Amado – and always with an experienced, certified instructor by your side.

I discovered the surf school this March together with my family, and I went back two more times this year to surf with them. Each …
… time, I surfed with the school for five days.
All the surf instructors and the staff at the surf shop were incredibly kind, friendly, helpful, and fun. They were always happy to see me again when I came back the other two times. Depending on your booking, they pick you up either directly from their hostel, from the surf shop, or sometimes even from the address you provide, and they also bring you back afterward. Of course, you can also follow with your own car.
During the main season, they always go to Praia do Amado beach, where the surf school also has another shop for renting surfboards and wetsuits. In the off-season, the instructors always check which nearby beaches have the best waves and conditions for the course. This can be Praia do Beliche, Praia do Tonel, or Praia da Mareta.
The surf instructors Tomas, Ficho, Julia, Miguel, Mika, and (Ronal) always do their best to teach the whole group, but also to support each person individually, giving tips to help you improve. They always combine this with a bit of fun.
I can only highly recommend this surf school and will definitely go back to Sagres to surf with them again. It’s been one of the best surfing experiences of my life.

… week before, and found that the instruction here translated quite a bit better for me personally – I’ve been able to improve a bit more and have received extremely helpful constructive feedback. All the instructors are also very kind and not at all intimidating. The beach is also perfect for learning. Highly recommend.
